It's a Girl!!!

Noah and I adopted a little girl from a shelter here in Wake Forest last week!!! Sorry, no children:) Her name is Raja and she's 7 months old! She is soooo sweet! She loves to cuddle on your shoulder, in your arms, against your face ANYWHERE.

She also LOVES to play! She's of course spoiled and has lots of toys and a kitty clubhouse...we get home and you can hear her chasing toys and balls in her bedroom. We've had so much fun with her! When we picked her up, we stopped to get some kitty stuff cause we had nothing. I ran into the store while Noah kept her company in the car. When I came out about a half hour later she was sprawled out on his chest and they were both asleep...So cute! When we got home and were with her our first night Noah looked at me and said, "good choice!" He's crazy about her! Kittys are so easy, she automatically started going potty in her litter box and hasn't destroyed anything yet. We've never seen her claws come out and she NEVER bites...must've gotten lucky!

HaLlOwEeN FuN

We had so much Fun Halloween Night! Us girls planned a party with The Leonards, Wallaces and us! I was off on friday so I had all day to plot and plan so it kinda became a little more than we thought on the decoration side of it but hey, I REALLY had fun doing it! I found ALL the deals:) I decorated our house that day...(hello, I totally forgot to decorate all of October) I made name cards and had goodie boxes for each person. I used something on the walls called "scene setters" Normally $16, I got it for $1.50..heck ya! Cheapest Halloween party ever- We're students again right!

We had the yummiest dinner, bread bowls with homemade chilli and minestrone/tortellini soup, salad, spinach dip, pin rolls and sparkling cider!

Then we painted eachothers faces like kids again! I loved it! We didn't have all the colors we needed but we made do...

We didn't tell eachother what they were until we were done and they looked in the mirror... Scott was The Pharoah, Bonnie was a Smerf! Ryan was Robin (like Batman and Robin) and Stacy was a pirate! I was a motorcycle accident victim with serious road rash on my face
(disturbing huh! ...Noahs idea)and Noah was half man half woman he he

The night ended with I am Legend...accompanied by popcorn and root beer floats! Hope y'all had a wonderful Halloween!!!

Mama in NC

I was soooo excited to have my mom come to NC to say the LEAST! We had the BEST time together, I hope she comes again soon despite the fact that she had to sleep on an air mattress and we were in the middle of working with an exterminator to take care of our cockroach issues (man she must really miss us:) We were making fun of ourselves because i've only lived away for 2 months and I was just DYING to see her!It felt like i've been gone a lot longer than that! We both cried when we saw eachother and then laughed about it realizing how long its been...Knowing that christmas is only 2 and a half months away when I dropped her off at the airport we decided together that we could probably survive until then:) I love my mom sooo much- I feel like she's a best friend but better!

We got our toes done!

We were in Pottery Barn and they had the cutest Halloween display! We were so into everything, getting "festive" with these awesome masks!!!(and taking pictures so we could steal their ideas)

We ended up having dessert everyday she was here! I know I know, but it was vacation right? Bonnie works at this cute coffee shop called Heighertys so my mom and I stopped in to get a treat and see Bonnie of course! Sooo yummy:)

Toasting to having my mom in our home!

I took my mom to the museum of natural history in downtown Raleigh. Noah had been with his class and said it was pretty cool. It was really fun and we learned a lot!

A nice end to her trip...we took a picnic to Jordan Lake with Noahs parents. It was so beautiful! Crazy spiders there but it truly was beautiful... Hope you come back soon mama! Love ya

Food for Thought

Man it is sooo good to have family in NC! I've been studying for my DANB Exam non stop and Noahs mom and Wade dropped off a bag of study goodies! It was SO cute! Each candy had a saying with it like Gummy Lifesavers said "To give you "security" in knowing that you will do great and PASS with "flying colors" and Pringles that said "To help you stay "chipper" as you "chip away" at those questions!" A Sobe Energy Drink that said "To give you some "Essential Energy" for studying and taking the "Big Test" There were 12 things in this bag of food for thought and it was so sweet and thoughtful! I know if will help a ton! Thanks Marsha and Wade!

Ahh The Beach on Labor Day...Perfect

We went to Wrightsville Beach this last weekend in Wilmington NC it was such a BLAST! We couldn't believe it, only 2 hours away! We've never lived that close to the ocean and I have never had sand in my car so it was a fun weekend. The sand was really soft and FULL of seashells and tiny pieces of seashells! We camped at a KOA nearby and even managed to find a wood palate behing a grocery store to make smores over a fire with, even though it was blazing hot outside!
